and..i bought a new camera...powershot g5, quite proffesional compared to anything ive had before, lots of buttons and icons n stuff, but it was about 150quid cheaper here than along totenham court road(london) so i treated myself....again...like the gba and stuff the other week..and theres a red gundam gamecube i'd like too...though i got 2 already..(black n blue)...i think theyre mine, maybe one of em is mine, cant remember.
so, maybe youll get higher res pictures in my gallery, or the same...hardly any..

hi all.
so, a friend mentioned this to me a while ago...
when women walk up steps, they hold bags behind themselves if theyre wearing a skirt, cos blokes with mobile phones take pictures up their skirts...its odd, but when he pointed it out and i looked around,..it was true..
there are also women only tube carridges after 11pm..
ive also seen a few odd people around lately, one bloke was chatting to himself, in a very odd way..apparently he was saying something like"this is the train, this is the train".
and today i saw a bloke lay down on the tube train seat, with his shoes off, mumbling to himself and holding his phone.very unusual
i quite often see people checking out whats in the bins, as they get the magazines out and re sell them on the streets. late at night you can pick up used, but cheap magazines/anime/books on the streets.i'm sure it happens everywhere, not just japan.there are a few "big issue" people on the streets, but not the same amount as in london.
i'm also about 2/3 the way through learning katakana, so i can read some signs in the street now, like hotel (ho te ru) or something like that..it helps a lot, the more i learn, the more i want to learn...which is cool, it gets the brain ticking over and doing something new.
anyway..not much esle to report, might post more touristy pictures on my website soon.

hi again.
well, i went to harajuku again, this time armed with my camcorder, so i may post some movies somewhere of the different bands that played today..mostly angsty guitar rock, there was one band that played disco, and were pretty entertaining, even had a dance routine...theres some pretty good jpop, and morcheeba like band (i.e. quite dull to listen to, but done well), and the regulars, a 40 something bloke doing bad mime act,a very camp guy on rollerskates singing songs, a few comedians ( i think they are, i cant understand them, but people were laughing).lots of acoustic guitar..i wish there was a sequencer/sampler act there...something like orbital playin a little gig in harajuku would be funny..one day i'll subject visitors to my website with downloadable tunes ive written..some people like em, though i never think theyre finished, and they were written about 7 years ago..they sound like early warp electronica, b12,autechre,plaid etc...
hmm...anything else...japan isnt cheap...tv is odd, food is nice...one think i miss is, beleive it or not, things like beans on toast and spaghetti in tins...the local supermarket is geared around doing your own cooking, which is nicer, but time consuming, everytime i go there i end up with fruit in jelly, crisps and these omellette/rice roll things..and bread (which is about 6 slices,no crusts)
i did have some really nice pizza crisps the other day, they even had melted cheese on them, and tasted really good..i even deciphered the lable, they had camombert and chedda cheese (i probably spelt those wrong)...a few more letters each day, and i''ll be able to read like a 2 year old soon..
i watched 50dates, the new adam sandler film...pretty standard thing, bloke falls for girl, girl has no long term memory, bloke looks after seals, seals steal the film(they quite funny)...cheesy but it was ..er ok ish..
astro boy cartoon is good, and so is full metal alchemist, though at 50dollars a dvd, i dont know how people can afford it..
also bought myself a gameboy advance sp, they got some new famicom ones out here which look like a old console system, so i bought one, been playin yoshi island and astro boy on it...havent played games properly for years now..
anyway..blog blog log bog dog cog?

the 60s rock n rollers were dancing badly again, and lots of teenagers dressed up in clown/goth/punk/anime costumes, to entertain the mostly european tourist crowd..
