so, i saw the film final cut today, with robin williams in it....not too bad, some nice ideas in it ..not too keen on the style, it was all"future but made of wood"..i always thought gaticca (spelt wrong i think) was all style and boredom, and this had some of the same style in it..it also has those complete bullshit graphics that only films have, the editing suite goes into search mode, so we see all these streams of cubes woosh around..
the worst thing in the film is probably the blokes beard , he's an ex collegue of robin willams's character, so he has this silly stuck on beard....all is revealed later though, as its an excuse to show how he's aged...he doesnt look older, but they show him a few years before in a flash back...where he has no beard...and then back to when the story is happening,..where he has velcro stuck on his head...is wasnt as bad as the old woman in a beautiful mind, but it was close...all that money spent on wood, but they couldnt do his beard (wood shavings stuck on with glue wouldve been better).
i'm off to japan for a few days, its a lot cheaper flying from here to japan, so i'm off for a quick break, before i have to go back to u.k.... i need to buy a coat, as both places are cold at the moment, but here, as ussual, its tshrit all day.. (though i only wear tshirts anyway, with coat/without coat).
i'm slowly getting back into doing 3dmodelling and texturing, some nice new programs out there to get to grips with,...i saw my last game on ebay the other day, bargain price of about $4 upwards....and someone selling the posters as "rare"..i dont think theyre rare, or sought after by anyone, though i was suprised to see the game forum and people had actually posted on it in the last month or 2..so someone bought it and played it...well, played it..
ive been taking more photies of hongkong too, mainly of new shiny things, rather than the dirty smelly areas ..i need to do some videos too, to show my mum when i go home..really exciting things like."going on a ferry across hongkong harbour" and "crazy weekends when hongkong fills up with philopeno woman who talk constantly for the whole weekend"..
and another bulb blew today, thats about 5 in the last week...either the bubls are crap, or the electriks are crap,...
and..my ipod is playing up...ive hardly used it, and the headphone socket is glitchy, it keeps going into left or right , or what sounds like karaoke mode, all the vocals vanish and just music plays..apple stuff really is durable....well, ok it isnt..but u wont read that anywhere cos theres this bizaro world where every mp3 player is an "ipod killer??" , a lot of people are making lots of cash off ipod, so noone will want to slag it off..you can even buy ipod socks...to stick it in...and ipod covers, ipod holders,
i thought today someone will bring out the ipod remote control car, ipod helicopter, ipod drinks despenser, ipod vacuum cleaner....all the same old things, but with a little slot that means they can add more bullshit marketing to sell their stuff...."hey look, this handsfree doorknob is now compatible with your ipod!!".. wow...as long as its white , people will buy it...

well, not a great deal going on here, the ussual buying anime,films,music,magazines,goin to cinema, eating ..
for the last few days, everytime i walk past a certain lampost in the street, the light goes off..
anyway, while its quiet ish ...i''ve seen a few movies.
shutter....if you like ring, youll like this too, a few similarites with the spooky bits, but it was well done, quite spooky in places ..worth watchin if u get the chance....it was great to be able to watch it in the cinema where people happily talked on mobile phones and and talked all the way through the film...or maybe it was really annoying...
Slacker...quite different to a normal film, not exactly a story, just an observation film of people doing their daily stuff in texas.mainly odd people doing odd things, but i hadnt seen it before, and it was cheap.
A-1, another hongkong film, a reporters boyfriend gets killed while on a story, she gets the help of ex cop/debt collector and they sort it all out...not too bad, a bit weak at the end
Cabaret voltair...bought this dvd of some vids theyd done, and to be honest, theyre all crap, i'll never put the dvd in the machine again...its all old, fuzzy,static and trying to be arty.
Naruto, another new batch of anime to watch, this one is about a ninja kid, who in the past was a 9 tailed fox, ...the spirit of the fox is sealed into a baby,...who is naruto...funny and entertaining so far, some nice magic in ther too, as ive nearly finished full metal alchemist, this should do for the xmas holidays.
ive been looking for the invader zim dvds for a while now, couldnt find them anywhere, so i ordered them off ebay...and yesterday i went into hmv and they had them instock...typical
i've actually been doing some modelling and texturing again..ive had a break from it all for the last year, though its easy enough to get back into , there are a few new techniques to pick up...i'd forgotten how annoying it is, how often it crashes, and how some of the simplest things to do can take ages,...i'm not sure how much time i can take out of doing games, before it makes it difficult to get back in..i could do something else full time (i sell a few toys on ebay)...but thats really annoying at times too..just trying to get lists/release dates so i can order items is like getting blood out of a stone ..it would be easier if i knew japanese,chinese,french but that could take quite a while.
and...star world is advertising their big movie for xmas....its james bond... :(

and ive worked out a way for my laptop to not overheat so often, i have to put it to sleep, then wake it up, this kicks the cooling fan into action, and the machine stays on...this laptop was quite cheap when i bought it, and had a fairly ok spec, but i thnk i shouldve spent a little more.the enter key has fallen off, it overheats, its ok, but i dont think i'll buy fujitsu again.though i use it more than my apple powerbook, which is an expensive dvd player (though it quite often cant play dvds..the cheap pc plays everything, the apple cant cope)...i will not be buying another apple machine either. ..though i said that before and still bought the laptop.
