well, its been a while, but i thought i'd blog a bit..i havent typed any random stuff into here for a while as i've not really done anything very interesting...still havent got my mac repaired, still havent updated my ipod playlist, still havent got round to watching the couple of dvd's ive bought...
though i did buy the nick broomfield dvd box set, which is really good, and read his book too..so its been a bit of a documentary fest here..
i did have an odd dream where (i think).. i was talking to someone, or watching someone talk to someone else, ...and as the person spoke he leant backwards, and everytime he did this, his packed lunch fell out of the back of his head (where he had a handy hole to store it in)...unfortuneately everytime it was put back in the back of his head, it damaged his brain ....so the more he spoke, the more it fell out, the stupider he got, untill he was just a mumbling zombie...i dont know why he kept his lunch in the back of his head, or what that might mean if i asked a psychologist, but it was quite odd..
i watched a nice australian film the other day called "the rage in lake placid" about a teenager growing up with hippy parents,...when he leaves school he decides to become like everyone else, and act normally and get a proper job....which freaks out his parents (he becomes an insurance salesman)..it was really refreshing to see a quirky film, especially as i didnt know anything about it....that last film that i thought was similar was garden state, and napolean dynamite.
in the u.k its election time too (woo) ....so tv will be full of self important ego's telling you what they think you want to here in order to get your vote....labour will complain about maggie thatcher and still claim to have all the answers (which they had before they got into power years ago...but still havent actually put into practice...) they'll do it all after the next election (like they said they would last year)...and conservatives will run around from one headline to another , digging up people who are ill "because of the failure of labour" blah blah blah...and theres some other parties too, who are used to fill up the airtime a little till the adverts can start and make money off you....as i get older i take more interest in politics, its amazing the corruption and deals that go on while theyre apparently running the country for the people who elected them.....selling guns to countries we shouldnt, stuff like that..
anyway...theres a new cartoon out by the people who do family guy, called american dad...its really good too..
and theres an invader zim boxset coming out in the shape of a house..
and ive still got lots of japanese/korean/hongkong films and anime to get through which i bought in hongkong all those many months ago, when it was warm and cheap (though when i was there i was getting a little bored)...i think tokyo is still the place for me..i just need to learn to speak and read japanese,and while im doing that, learn a bit of mandarin, more french, maybe other languages too..but its hard when i dont put any effort into it..
i'll go and try and have other odd dreams too..there was an odd conversation at work about a pair of hands that had no body, but it got quite surreal and i dont think i could quite explain it with text...
i'll try and not leave it so long till the next enthralling episode of blog by the dog, green frog in smog on a log (i'm gonna start writing some dope blinging rap soon!!)...ya get me ? (apparently it means do you understand me)..
