fedex are cr*p
ive got some items coming through fedex, who are apparently a courier service who can deliver anywhere in the world..blah blah blah..
i worked from home wednesday , expecting the package...it got later and later,...then my flatmate noticed a slip had come through the door, saying they couldnt deliver..
this also meant, they couldnt knock the front door, or ring a doorbell, as i was in, and so was my flatmate....i cant read minds so i'm not sure what else i could do. I rang them up, and they arranged to deliver the next day...
Day 2,
I'm in all day...working from home again. I gave them my phone number, made sure they had the correct address (they'd left me a slip before, so they can find my house)..So i assumed they could ring me if they couldnt , for some reason , deliver to the house...I hadnt noticed any man eating lions in the front , so i assumed it would be ok.
at about 4ish i looked at the online tracking , and found that they'd been, and couldnt deliver it.
however this time, it appears they tried to deliver to next door.I dont live next door, i dont hear their doorbell, i dont answer the door when its knocked, as its not my door...
Also, it has a different door number on the front...not too far away from my own (about 2 numbers up) ..but its quite easy to see that the number doesnt match with the one on the delivery note.
i phoned them up, they described my next door neighbours house quite well, its just a shame i dont live there..
then about an hour after i phoned them, someone knocked at my door, who lives down the road, and quite a few numbers higher than mine (about 20 houses above)..
he had a delivery slip through his door, with number 49 on it, saying they couldnt delivery to the house..he phoned them too, saying that his house doesnt remotely have the same number on it too.
theyre getting the town correct, and the street, but cant seem to figure out how numbers work.
so here goes.

number 50 , is not number 49 or 47 or 36 or 22 or 51, its actually 50 , so if for example you delivered packages to houses, and each house has a number, hopefully they can read numbers and get it correct..if it has number 21 on the delivery slip, they should, ideally, find the correct street, and then find the house with the same looking squiggles on it that look a lot like 21.
tomorow, apparently , theyre going to try and deliver it in the morning.I'm not quite sure they know what morning is...they mentioned 12oclock, but it wouldnt suprise me if they meant september, or horse..but it may actually turn up.
so , if it wasnt for being able to work from home, i'd have lost either 3 days pay, or 3 days holiday because fedex arent very good.
i was going to try fedex to get some packages i need picking up...i dont think i'll bother now.
